As a
Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) , you'll be the
frontline contact
for patients requiring diagnostic services. This role involves
specimen collection, preparation, and accurate documentation , while ensuring a safe and professional environment. The PSR II demonstrates
phlebotomy expertise across all patient groups , outstanding customer service, and adaptability to cover multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
venipuncture and capillary specimen collections , including pediatric and geriatric patients. Verify patient identity and ensure specimens are properly labeled. Maintain records and documentation in compliance with SOPs. Deliver exceptional
customer service
and support patient comfort. Travel as needed to cover multiple service locations. Support alternate weekend rotations and additional shifts when required. Required Experience
3 years phlebotomy experience
(including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary) required. At least
2 years in a Patient Service Center environment
preferred. Customer service or retail/service background preferred. Strong computer and data entry experience required. Required Skills
Phlebotomy expertise
across diverse patient populations. Ability to work independently in high-volume, fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Skills
Prior floater experience covering multiple service centers. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. Familiarity with electronic health records or lab systems. Licensure & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Phlebotomy certification (preferred;
mandatory only in CA, NV, WA , not required in MD). Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred). Benefits
