Senior Account Executive, Cybersecurity role at Highwire. Base pay range: $63,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr. What You Will Do
Media & Influencer Relations: Lead media strategy and execution for cybersecurity clients, maintain relationships with reporters across business, trade, and cybersecurity outlets; craft proactive pitches that generate high-quality coverage and thought leadership; identify trends and journalists relevant to security; share insights across the agency.
Client Service & Program Management: Own tactical execution of cybersecurity PR programs, lead weekly client calls, manage projects from kickoff to delivery, develop quarterly cybersecurity campaign plans, monitor threat landscape and regulatory developments, support media training, and help allocate budgets and resources.
Writing & Content Development: Write and edit cybersecurity-focused content including thought leadership, press releases, contributed pieces, abstracts, award nominations, and briefing materials; ensure content is technically accurate and engaging.
Insights, Analytics & Integration: Lead results reporting, use analytics to optimize programs, and collaborate across teams to ensure integrated service delivery; leverage AI tools to improve campaign precision and efficiency.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior staff, foster an inclusive, high-performing culture, and lead by example with proactive collaboration and professional conduct.
Agency Engagement & Operations: Contribute to new business activities, write for Highwire’s blog, participate in conferences and events, and help improve agency culture, workflows, and team growth.
Professional Growth & Self-Development: Set quarterly goals with your manager, prioritize tasks, and pursue continuous improvement while meeting deadlines.
What You Bring
3–5 years of PR/communications experience in an agency setting (required)
Direct experience with cybersecurity clients or in the security industry
Strong media relationships across tech, business, and security outlets
Ability to translate complex cybersecurity topics into compelling media narratives
Excellent writing, editing, and content development skills
Experience managing client communications, priorities, and deliverables
Proficiency with analytics tools and reporting on performance metrics
Collaborative, curious, client-first mindset
