Sally Beauty The essential functions for this role include supporting the Store Manager in hiring, developing and leading store associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing store operations, and maintaining brand standards. This position involves developing strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication and accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all areas outlined below and are responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is not present. Primary Duties
30% Brand: Provide supervision and support direction for daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.). Act as main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns. Analyze store trends and anticipate customer demands. 30% People: Engage, train and develop teams to achieve results. Leverage internal hiring platforms and actively recruit to build a strong candidate network. Identify strengths and opportunities for each associate and address via coaching or counseling. Hold team accountable to policies and expectations. Maintain positive associate relations and communicate relevant Company information. Build strong relationships with Store Manager peers. Maintain consistent and timely communication with AM/DM. Foster diversity, inclusion and belonging. 30% Operations: Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Utilize processes to support digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing. Manage payroll hours to business needs and schedule accordingly. Ensure opening and closing procedures are performed correctly. Follow Company directives and assignments with timely and accurate execution. 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintain a safe store environment for associates and customers; enforce all policies and procedures. Protect company assets by ensuring inventory and cash control procedures related to shrink and damages are followed. Utilize available reporting, tools and technology. Ensure stores comply with all HAZMAT training and execution. Knowledge, Skills/Abilities And Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives Effective communication with team and management Scheduling availability to meet business needs Cosmetology license desirable, but not required Competencies
