Director of Finance
– responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day accounting operations, the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, analyses, regulatory reporting, as well as strategic financial planning and reporting. The position requires knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Director of Finance is a key member of the organization’s leadership team. Responsibilities
Take full ownership and accountability for all accounting operations, including daily cash management, accounts receivable and invoicing, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset subledgers, and account reconciliations. Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and manage intercompany cash transactions. Produce financial statements and supporting schedules in alignment with the monthly close calendar and GAAP requirements. Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage regulatory reporting obligations, including local business tax filings. Support the annual financial audit process by providing necessary documentation and responses. Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and reviewing effective internal controls. Lead the development of annual strategies, budgets, forecasts, monthly estimates, and business reviews in collaboration with the President and executive leadership team. Drive initiatives focused on automation, operational efficiency, and scalability to support business growth. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. Execute additional projects and duties as needed to support ongoing business objectives. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, with advanced expertise in revenue recognition and lease accounting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage deeply in financial details. Proven success in building and leading finance teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to continuous process improvement. Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong data comprehension. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective at influencing and collaborating with direct reports, peers, and senior management. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA license or equivalent certification preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within a finance function. Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen. Seniority level
