Specialty Representative, Dermatology - St. Louis East, MO Base pay range: $78,500.00/yr - $192,500.00/yr. This role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. The geography covers St Louis, Springfield, IL, Paducah, KY, and the surrounding areas. We will be hiring two candidates for this territory. Responsibilities

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to drive sales performance; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships; address customer needs; place the patient at the center of efforts; operate within AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals. Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Handle objections and concerns effectively to drive action on every sales call. Aim to serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical and sales knowledge; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or relevant and equivalent industry experience required. If no bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; a high school diploma/GED required. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking; ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment. Proven track record of success in selling with strong presentation skills; can adapt selling approach to customer style/behavior; contributes ideas to the organization and responds to changes. Influences others and is viewed as a credible, respected role model and resource; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams; leads by example and provides peer coaching. Documented leadership experience with increased responsibility at district/region/organizational levels; leverages findings to develop sales strategies. Preferred: proven success in sales within the specified therapeutic areas; experience in commercial pharmaceutical activities (physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing) is a plus; English proficiency (verbal and written) for all non-English speaking regions. Must satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials. HCIR credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proofs, fingerprinting, and state/city-specific licenses. You are responsible for satisfying all HCIR requirements and related liabilities; AbbVie provides resources to assist with questions. Additional Information

The compensation range described is the base pay range the company believes it will pay for this role at posting time; actual compensation is location-dependent and may be higher or lower. The range may be modified in the future. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs.
