Overview
This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This geography covers Lakeland, Plant City, Ocala, Winter Haven, Kissimmee, and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives in order to meet or exceed those objectives. Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and drive calls to action to close on sales opportunities. Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win–win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics, optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers, and maximizes access and sales opportunities. Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field teams to align and optimize brand strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience required. If no bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred and a high school diploma/GED required. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by stakeholders. Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; ability to operate in a matrix environment and propose innovative solutions. Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills. Adapts selling approach to customer style and anticipates changes to respond effectively. Influences others and is viewed as a credible resource among peers; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams; leads by example and coaches peers through changing environments. Documented success in leadership or support roles with increased responsibility at district/region levels; uses findings to develop sales strategies. Preferred: Proven sales success in pertinent therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing. Proficiency in English verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries). Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials. HCIR credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city license requirements. AbbVie provides resources to help answer questions. The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation for this role at the time of posting, based on the job grade. Individual compensation will depend on location and other factors and may be modified in the future. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs. Note: No amount of pay is considered wages or compensation until earned and vested.
