Staff Physician - PCP at Phoenix Children's

Position Summary Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics (PCP) North Phoenix is looking for a Pediatrician, bilingual in Spanish, to join their exceptional team.
In 2017, Phoenix Children’s created a new Primary Care division solely focused on providing pediatric-only primary care service in a community setting. This includes comprehensive pediatric care from birth to 18 years, immunizations, well-child visits, sports physicals, behavioral health services, lactation and more. Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics is pro-vaccination and supports the immunization schedule as outlined by the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). We believe in patient safety and best-practice for our patients, their families, and our staff.
Today PCP has 12 clinic locations, 48 Physicians, 7 Advanced Practice Providers, 60 support staff, which includes 4 RNs, and 4 Referral Coordinator Staff. All PCP practices have access to the medical specialties of Phoenix Children’s Hospital and more than 1,000 providers that are part of the clinically integrated organization of Phoenix Children’s Care Network.
(PCP) North Phoenix is located at 3805 E. Bell Rd. Ste 5100 Phoenix, AZ 85032.

Position Duties
Physician shall provide patient care services as assigned by the chief of the division to which Physician is assigned, including but not limited to direct patient care on inpatient and outpatient basis.
Provide subspecialty consultations and follow-up; provide diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures.
Assist the Chief with the administration and provision of appropriate attending on-call coverage of emergencies.
Assist the Chief with divisional administrative duties: supervision of divisional staff; professional and fiscal management; development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external regulatory agencies.
Develop and implement policies to ensure clinical resources are utilized efficiently and in accordance with clinical and fiscal management principles; oversee quality of care standards.
Develop, implement and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards of care for the Division; manage programs and projects under the Chief or designee.
Support medical education programs and activities of the Division: direct supervision of students, residents, fellows and allied health professionals; conduct teaching rounds, lectures and conferences; participate in continuing education; support scholarly activity.
Participate in development and implementation of clinical research protocols; act as liaison to private practice community and referral sources; represent Phoenix Children’s in medical and public communities; perform miscellaneous job duties as requested.
Qualifications
Education: MD or DO degree; Board certification in the appropriate specialty.
Licensure: Current, unrestricted Arizona Medical License or ability to obtain prior to start date.
Additional: MBA, MPH or MHA degree, or equivalent (preferred).
Special Skills: Ability to move freely between facilities; effective communication by telephone/computer; ability to perform after-hours call responsibilities; ability to work regular hours and under pressure.
Current Arizona License to Practice Medicine or the ability to obtain prior to start date (Required); Board certified in the appropriate specialty (Preferred).
