This role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and a customer needs-solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance. Place the patient at the center of efforts and operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets. Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Handle objections and concerns to close on sales calls. Proactively address customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan to achieve metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, disease and product knowledge; share market intelligence with in-field and brand teams to align and optimize strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience; required in some cases. Relevant industry experience; five years in lieu of a bachelor’s degree with three or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required. In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking; proficient use of business tools. Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach accordingly; demonstrated sales success and solid presentation skills; ability to operate in a matrix environment. Ability to influence others and build collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams. Leads by example with positive behaviors; documented leadership experience at district/region/organizational levels. Preferred: proven sales success in the therapeutic area; pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing; English proficiency in writing and speaking. Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities and organizations in the territory, and maintain good standing/eligibility to obtain credentials. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; ability to travel to cover territory and attend training events and meetings. Additional Information
