Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Oregon, Ohio. You will provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general inpatient units, with a focus on monitoring, nursing interventions, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, with emphasis on cardiac care
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Monitor comfort and safety of telemetry patients
• Document nursing history and physical assessments; notify supervisor or physician of significant changes
• Respond to life-threatening situations in accordance with hospital policies and protocols for cardiac emergencies
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry patient care
• Maintain patient and client confidentiality
• Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned
• Follow hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
