• Location: Flagstaff, Arizona (86001)
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 and 10:30–23:00)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• On-Call: Up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend shifts (30-minute recall)
• Weekend Coverage: As needed, typically every 3rd weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Scrubs: Provided for OR RNs
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Parking: Free onsite parking

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Active Arizona RN license or valid compact nursing license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Experience in Level I trauma center OR preferred; Level II trauma experience in similar-sized facilities considered
• Proficiency in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro cases (including craniotomies)
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Ability to take call and work variable shifts
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy OR setting
• Assist with orthopedic, trauma, spine, neuro, and general surgeries
• Respond quickly to trauma cases and surgical emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR
• Follow facility quality and patient safety standards
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage
• Float to other clinical areas as needed based on skill set and census
