- Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Facility
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Start Date: October 13, 2025
- End Date: January 12, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30 – 07:00)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (facility may call off up to 6 shifts per contract)
- Weekend Requirement: As needed, typically every 3rd weekend
- On-Call: No call required
- Scrub Color: Scrubs provided
- Charting System: Cerner EMR
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930-$1980
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a hospital setting
- Level I trauma nursing experience required (will consider highly skilled clinicians with recent Level II trauma experience in similar or larger facilities)
- Proficiency in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro surgeries (including craniotomies)
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state nursing license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Charge nurse experience is a plus
- First-time travel nurses welcome
OR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Level I trauma operating room with 11 OR suites
- Circulate and assist in a range of surgical specialties: orthopedic, trauma, spine, neuro, and general surgery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to facility quality standards, including medication administration protocols
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
- Float to other perioperative areas as needed based on skill set and facility census
- Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
