Key Job Details – OR RN Travel Assignment
- Location: Grinnell, IA 50112 (Iowa healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 27, 2025 – January 26, 2026)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:15 AM – 2:45 PM (8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)
- On-Call: 3 weeknights per week (3:00 PM – 6:30 AM) & 1 weekend every 4th or 5th week (holiday rotation included)
- Unit: 4 beds + 1 suite, average 10–15 surgical cases/day
- EMR: EPIC
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,190 - $2,350
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license or compact state eligibility (Registered Nurse jobs in Iowa)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in same day surgery and/or Operating Room (OR nurse experience required)
- Experience in both Operating Room (OR) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Ability to float to pre-op, post-op, or PACU as needed
- First-time travel nurses accepted (must meet experience requirements)
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and quality throughout the perioperative process
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays
- Accurately document all care in the EPIC EMR system
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
