  • End Date: January 9, 2026
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts/week (07:30 - 18:00)
  • Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed hours)
  • Weekend Coverage: Required, with flexible time off during the week
  • Charting System: Epic EMR
  • Patient Ratio: 1:7
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of outpatient oncology nursing experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (CT nursing license required; pending license accepted)
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR charting
  • Strong clinical skills in BMT, chemotherapy administration, central line care, and supportive oncology procedures
  • Weekend coverage required
  • One professional reference required
  • Local candidates (within 75 miles) not accepted
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Travel RN Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients undergoing bone marrow transplant, cell therapy, and chemotherapy infusions
  • Administer blood products, chemotherapy, and supportive treatments in a clinical setting
  • Monitor and manage infusion-related side effects, complications, and ensure patient safety
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-infusion care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including pharmacy, social services, and rapid response
  • Perform central line and port care, phlebotomy, and wound care as needed
  • Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
  • Participate in weekend coverage with flexible scheduling
