Overview

Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing position in Wausau, Wisconsin. 13-week contract with guaranteed hours, serving patients in the Wausau area. Start date: October 6, 2025. End date: January 3, 2026. Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 8-hour days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, flexible). On-call: none (except for low census situations). Travel territory: 25-60 miles/day; average 20-25 patients, 4.5 visits/day. Possible float to nearby locations: Medford, Antigo, WI Rapids. Estimated weekly salary range: $2,100–$2,250. Location: Wausau, WI 54401.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive home health nursing care to diverse patient populations.
• Complete OASIS admissions, episode management, and all required documentation.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Document care and patient progress in EMR systems promptly.
• Demonstrate clinical skills in wound care, IV therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management.
• Float to nearby locations as needed (Medford, Antigo, WI Rapids).
• Maintain a positive attitude and provide compassionate, dependable care in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Active Wisconsin or Compact State RN license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Valid Driver's License (required for home health travel nursing roles).
• OASIS certification a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of home health RN experience; prior travel nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with OASIS charting; Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Strong time management, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
