Overview

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Neuro/Oncology/Surgical – Springfield, IL. This 13-week contract offers hands-on experience in a Neuro Telemetry unit, working with neuro, oncology, and surgical patients.

Assignment Details

• Location: Springfield, IL 62769
• Healthcare Setting: Neuro Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/21/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (AM); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2090
• Patient Population: Neurology, Oncology, General Surgery

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the Neuro Telemetry unit, including those with neurological, oncology, and surgical conditions
• Administer IV anti-arrhythmic and anti-seizure medications per physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Participate in scheduled weekend shifts as required

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Clinical experience with Neuro, Oncology, and General Surgery patients
• Proficient in administering IV anti-arrhythmic and anti-seizure medications
• Preferred: Chemo certification
