Position Summary: The Overnight Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight hours, ensuring both guest satisfaction and accurate financial reporting. This role supervises and supports front office functions, balances daily transactions, and ensures the safety and efficiency of hotel operations at night. The Overnight Operations Manager also plays a key leadership role in guiding overnight associates, addressing guest needs, and preparing the hotel for the following day’s business. Other duties may be assigned as required by business needs or for training toward career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Approach all guest and employee interactions in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Rebel Hotel Company standards, as scheduled according to business needs.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, in line with Rebel Hotel Company’s dress code and brand standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational regulations to support efficient and secure hotel operations overnight.
- Accurately complete nightly audit functions, including balancing and posting daily charges, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and transmitting data to the Corporate Office.
- Supervise overnight staff to ensure productivity, guest service, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Handle all guest issues with professionalism, including late check-ins, complaints, and special requests, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Serve as the overnight Manager on Duty, responsible for emergency response, guest safety, and property security.
- Monitor and support front desk, housekeeping, and engineering needs as required during overnight hours.
- Ensure cash handling procedures, hotel safe protocols, and security measures are followed consistently.
- Communicate effectively with the morning management team to relay overnight activities, guest issues, and operational needs.
- Assist with training and development of overnight associates, ensuring compliance with service standards and company policies.
- Attend and participate in required meetings, training sessions, and certification programs.
- Be visible in public areas during peak times to greet guests and offer assistance as needed.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- At least one year of progressive experience in a lifestyle luxury hotel front office or audit role; or a four-year college degree with at least one year of hotel front office experience; or a two-year college degree with at least two years of hotel experience.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems and property management systems (PMS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives, make sound decisions, and solve problems under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain composed in high-stress situations, and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and resolve concerns from guests and team members.
- Proficiency in handling financial data, reports, and basic accounting functions.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- FSD Certification preferred.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 annually
