Overview
Casa Cipriani New York is seeking a highly professional and service-driven Overnight Front Desk Manager to oversee all front desk operations during the night shift. The shifts will be scheduled 4 days on and four days off. The Overnight Front Desk Manager serves as the primary point of contact for guests during evening hours and may act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required.
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Casa Cipriani New York. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
- Guest relations: Greet and assist guests in a warm, professional, and discreet manner upon arrival and departure; anticipate guest needs, handle special requests, and resolve concerns with efficiency and courtesy; ensure VIP and high-profile guests receive personalized attention and service that reflects Casa Cipriani’s standards of excellence.
- Operations management: Oversee all front desk functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency; handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and payments with accurate documentation; complete nightly occupancy, revenue, and cash handling reports; act as Manager on Duty during the overnight shift and provide direction, coaching, and support to overnight front desk staff; coordinate with housekeeping, security, food & beverage, and engineering to ensure smooth overnight operations; communicate updates and guest requests to relevant departments.
- Problem solving: Serve as escalation point for guest concerns and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and service consistency; document incidents and communicate with senior management.
- Safety and security: Ensure safety of guests, staff, and property during overnight hours; monitor premises and report any suspicious activity; adhere to health, safety, and emergency protocols.
- Administrative duties: Maintain accurate guest records, transactions, and shift documentation; prepare nightly reports and manage inventory of front desk supplies and guest amenities.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality management degree strongly preferred.
- Proven front desk or guest services experience with supervisory or managerial responsibility in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; multilingualism a plus.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (Opera preferred, Mews or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed; strong problem-solving skills and guest-centric mindset.
Physical Activities and Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
