Responsibilities

  • The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows all company standards in the work centers, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may perform a range of tasks in all areas of the Store as business needs require.
  • Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas to maintain merchandise, customer and Team areas.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the company\'s dress code.
  • Expedites newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor and merchandises items according to monthly presentation guidelines.
  • Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness program, the Shortage Highway, the Store Protection Specialist position (where applicable), and merchandise protection standards.
  • Follows MOS policies and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and follows Store best practices to maximize productivity.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

  • Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements / ADA

  • Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store up to 100% of the working time.
  • Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
  • Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds.

Compensation And Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $17.66 - $18.16, dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. This range is one component of the total compensation package. Benefits offered include various insurance programs, associate discounts, retirement programs, and other benefits described in company materials.
