Overview
Merchandiser/Cashier role at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Greet customers on the sales floor, assist with locating merchandise, direct to parts specialists when needed, and support front-end operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers on the sales floor; assist in locating merchandise or direct to parts specialist for hard parts.
- Check in, price, and stock merchandise; keep display floors fronted, full, and clean daily.
- Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms; implement out-front price changes and ensure sale signs are in place.
- Stock control: manage sale merchandise quantities, remove sale material when promotions end, and restore original pricing.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Collaborate with the manager to complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
- Act as the main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in/out according to company policy.
- Cashier
- Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and with a friendly demeanor.
- Handle merchandise returns in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Assist with ticketing, processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards) when the express lane is not in use.
Qualifications
- Required: Good aptitude for numbers, strong interpersonal communication, and strong organizational skills.
- Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive manual transmission; bilingual abilities (Spanish highly desirable).
