Overview

Merchandiser/Cashier role at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Greet customers on the sales floor, assist with locating merchandise, direct to parts specialists when needed, and support front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor; assist in locating merchandise or direct to parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise; keep display floors fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms; implement out-front price changes and ensure sale signs are in place.
• Stock control: manage sale merchandise quantities, remove sale material when promotions end, and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Collaborate with the manager to complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as the main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.

• Cashier
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and with a friendly demeanor.
• Handle merchandise returns in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist with ticketing, processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards) when the express lane is not in use.

Qualifications

• Required: Good aptitude for numbers, strong interpersonal communication, and strong organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive manual transmission; bilingual abilities (Spanish highly desirable).
