CVICU Registered Nurse – Travel Locum Tenens in Pocatello, Idaho

CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) travel locum tenens assignment in Pocatello, Idaho (Zip 83201). Join a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team delivering critical care to adult patients in a state-of-the-art facility. This is a travel nursing opportunity in a supportive hospital environment with Idaho’s healthcare community and outdoor recreation nearby.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular and multisystem conditions.
• Perform and assist with procedures: arterial line management, chest tube care, central line care, and ventilator management.
• Administer blood products; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips; manage continuous IV sedation.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.
• Float to other critical care units as required.
• Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation precautions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (RN) – required for all RN roles.
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• PALS and TNCC certifications preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Ability to float to other units as needed.
• Must meet the 100-mile radius requirement from the facility.

Job Details

• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Float to other critical care units as required
• Charting System: Epic (preferred)
• 100-mile radius rule: Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
