The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to work with our housekeeping team.
Overview
Join Averill Hospitality as a Housekeeping Inspector responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public spaces, ensuring each member of the housekeeping team carries out assignments to standards. The role includes handling guest complaints regarding housekeeping, notifying maintenance of repairs, approving rooms for occupancy, ensuring rooms are 100% ready before check-in, and maintaining clean and stocked storage and linen rooms.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
- Ensure cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public spaces.
- Direct and respond to guest complaints concerning housekeeping.
- Notify maintenance of needed repairs.
- Approve rooms for occupancy and verify rooms are 100% ready prior to check-in.
- Maintain storage and linen rooms in a clean and satisfactory condition and stock with needed items.
Required knowledge, skills, and attributes
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Dependable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language.
- At least two years of experience in a housekeeping or laundry role.
- Positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees.
- Extremely detail-oriented with outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions both written and verbal.
- Integrity to safeguard confidential information.
- Demeanor to remain calm in tense or stressful situations.
- Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible schedule.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds.
Schedule / holidays / PTO
The Housekeeping Inspector is expected to normally maintain a 5-day-a-week schedule but may be adjusted according to occupancy and business needs. A work week of around 45 hours can be expected, with potential variation. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected. Peak-season staffing may require PTO and vacations during slower seasons.
