Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the overall management and direction of multiple public-sector construction projects Maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, school districts, architects, consultants, and regulatory agencies Oversee project teams including project managers, superintendents, and support staff Participate in business development efforts and client interviews for public bids and negotiated work Ensure all project activities comply with public procurement processes, legal requirements, and reporting protocols Review and approve contracts, budgets, change orders, and pay applications Monitor project performance and proactively address risks or challenges Support team development through mentorship and leadership Represent the company in community and industry events related to public and educational construction MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong focus on
municipal and/or educational projects Proven track record of managing complex public-sector projects from $10M to $100M+ Deep understanding of
public procurement, compliance, and reporting standards Experience working with Broward County is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Experience with various delivery methods, including
CM at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.) Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred What's on Offer
