Work model:
On-Site What you will do: Lead cross-functional project teams, including internal engineers and external vendors, while reviewing designs for constructability and alignment with project goals Serve as the primary liaison among customers, sales, engineering, and vendors to ensure clear communication and long-term relationship success Manage project schedules, meetings, and documentation, ensuring timely follow-up on decisions and actions as directed by the sales lead Oversee order entry and equipment coordination, including lead times, delivery logistics, and installation planning with subcontractors and internal teams Identify and mitigate risks during implementation, leveraging CAD/DWG drawings and site visits to guide contractors and ensure compliance with safety standards Monitor financial performance, enforce deadlines, maintain documentation, and support the team with updates, feedback, and administrative coordination What you will need to be successful: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, or related field preferred, with 3+ years of professional experience required 2+ years of experience in material handling or a related industry, with familiarity in conveyors, racking, storage systems, and robotics preferred Experience as a project manager in manufacturing, capital expenditures, or commercial/industrial construction Strong collaboration skills across customers, consultants, vendors, sales, and engineering teams Willingness to travel 25-50% as needed to support project execution and site coordination Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Mechanical aptitude and ability to read CAD drawings; knowledge of system installation and maintenance is a plus Benefits overview: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k PTO Interested and qualified candidates can contact Chad Weir at (515) 225-7000 or email Chad at cweir@thepalmergroup.com.
