Work model: On-Site What you will be doing: Drive business growth by identifying new project opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and strategic relationship building Cultivate and manage key partnerships with general contractors, engineers, and project owners to support long-term business development Prepare compelling proposals and bids, delivering presentations that effectively secure commercial and industrial sheet metal contracts Perform detailed project estimating by reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accuracy and competitiveness Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate scope, labor, materials, and equipment needs; maintain and update estimating databases Lead end-to-end project execution, coordinating teams and subcontractors to meet quality, safety, budget, and schedule targets while maintaining strong client communication What you will need to be successful

Minimum 7 years of experience in sheet metal contracting, HVAC, or construction project management, with direct exposure to both commercial and industrial projects Demonstrated success in business development, including prospecting, client outreach, and relationship cultivation In-depth understanding of sheet metal systems, fabrication techniques, and installation best practices Proficiency in estimating software, project management platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments Proven leadership skills, including driving client acquisition through strategic relationship building Benefits overview: Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO 401k Interested and qualified candidates can contact Chad Weir at (515) 225-7000 or email cweir@thepalmergroup.com.
