We are a fast-growing, Stanford-based generative AI startup revolutionizing the pharmaceutical industry. Our mission is to accelerate the drug development process by providing automated drafting and review of complex regulatory documents. Our technology reduces time-to-market, minimizes human error, and ensures compliance for our pharmaceutical and CRO partners. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly driven and resilient Account Executive with a strong "hunter" mentality to join our team. This is a full-cycle, remote sales role for a strategic individual who can thrive with limited oversight to build a book of new business. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and contract research organization (CRO) industries and is passionate about selling cutting-edge AI software. You will own the entire sales process, from prospecting to close, and be a key player in our company's growth. What You'll Do Generate new business: Proactively identify and engage with prospective clients in the life sciences sector, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. Manage the full sales cycle: Own the process from initial outreach and needs qualification to presenting tailored product demonstrations and negotiating complex contracts. Use MEDDIC sales methodology: Apply your expertise in the MEDDIC framework to qualify prospects, navigate complex deal structures with multiple stakeholders, and close high-value deals. Become a trusted advisor: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from scientific researchers to C-suite executives, to understand their pain points and demonstrate the value of our genAI solution. Grow revenue independently: Develop and execute account strategies with a focus on acquiring net-new logos in a greenfield environment. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with product, marketing, and customer success teams to provide market feedback and ensure a seamless customer onboarding experience. Track and report: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales data in our CRM for pipeline management and forecasting. What We're Looking For 3+ years of sales experience in the life sciences industry, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas. Prior experience selling SaaS software or AI applications to pharmaceutical and/or CRO companies. Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and CRO landscapes, including their regulatory document processes. Proficiency and proven success using the MEDDIC sales methodology in complex, enterprise sales cycles. Demonstrated "hunter" skills and a history of developing and closing business with minimal support. Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging technical and executive audiences. Ability to work remotely and independently. Location: Must reside near one of the following major cities for proximity to key industry hubs: Boston, Philadelphia, Raleigh, or Durham. Benefits & Compensation We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, uncapped commission, and equity in our rapidly growing company. We also provide comprehensive health benefits and opportunities for development. How to Apply If you are a self-motivated, ambitious sales professional ready to join a company at the forefront of AI in life sciences, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience.
