What you'll do...
About the Role As the Group Director of Product Management for Stores, Associate Experience, and Real Estate, you will lead the product strategy and execution for platforms that empower Walmart’s associates, enhance in-store operations, and optimize how we plan, manage, and utilize our global real estate portfolio. You’ll oversee multiple product domains—ranging from associate-facing apps to facilities management systems—ensuring that Walmart’s 1.6M+ associates and 10,000+ stores worldwide have the tools and environments they need to thrive. Your work will improve efficiency, unlock productivity, and create better experiences for both associates and customers, while also driving smarter investments in real estate and physical assets. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision
Define and own the product strategy across three domains: associate experience, in-store platforms, and real estate lifecycle management. Partner with executive leadership across Stores, Technology, HR, and Real Estate to align product investments with Walmart’s business priorities. Anticipate future needs in retail operations, workforce enablement, and property management to build resilient, scalable solutions.
Associate Experience
Lead the development of digital tools and apps that enable associates to work more efficiently, serve customers better, and simplify daily tasks. Prioritize solutions that enhance associate engagement, reduce friction, and improve retention. Champion intuitive UX and mobile-first design for frontline workers.
Stores & Operations
Build and scale technology platforms that improve store execution, from task management to labor optimization and compliance. Drive innovations that streamline inventory handling, replenishment, and omnichannel operations in stores. Ensure store systems are integrated with supply chain, fulfillment, and customer-facing platforms.
Real Estate & Facilities
Oversee product roadmaps that manage the full real estate lifecycle: site selection, design, build, maintenance, and optimization. Enable data-driven decision making for real estate investments, lease management, and sustainability initiatives. Partner with Facilities and Finance to optimize operating costs and asset utilization.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor multiple directors and product leaders, fostering a culture of customer obsession, accountability, and innovation. Manage a large, multi-domain product portfolio with clear prioritization and measurable outcomes. Influence executive stakeholders with strong storytelling, backed by data-driven insights.
Qualifications 15+ years of product management experience, with 7+ years in executive leadership. Proven track record of managing large, complex product portfolios across multiple domains. Experience in retail technology, workforce platforms, real estate management, or enterprise systems strongly preferred. Strong technical acumen with experience scaling enterprise-grade platforms. Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00-$370,000.00 in Bentonville, Arkansas, and $254,000.00-$481,000.00 in Sunnyvale, California. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 15 years’ experience in product management. Or 17 years’ experience in product management or related area. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related area and 14 years’ experience as a product manager.
