Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate for the role of Solution Architect, Security, within our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partners & Alliances business function. Specialist Solutions Architects work with AWS' partners and customers to accelerate their cloud transformation. You will engage in a wide range of activities around your domain of expertise, providing technical advice to customers, helping the internal and external communities, presenting AWS publicly on your domain, and providing a preferred path between AWS service teams and customers. This role focuses on strategic consulting partners to accelerate the cloud migration journey for customers in regulated industries, including understanding business drivers, current datacenter architecture, designing reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure foundations, and defining adoption pathways. You will possess technical skills in software architecture, information security, compliance initiatives, software deployment and cloud computing, as well as customer-facing skills at all levels of a partner organization. You should be able to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. You are an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone the partners are eager to engage with and have a strong hands-on approach. Key Responsibilities
Partners' trusted advisor: collaborate with AWS account, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as IAM, VPC, Key Management Service, CloudHSM, AWS Organizations, Artifact, and Web Application Firewall Business partner: serve as a key member of the business development and partner management team to help ensure customer success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform Public engagement: provide thought leadership on Security solutions through external publications and public presentations at AWS events Community member: capture and share best practices within the worldwide AWS technical community Evangelize a partner’s value proposition internally and externally Drive partner solutions, APN program attainment, enablement through training and certifications, and go-to-market strategies for differentiation and expansion Establish AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud platform for regulated workloads Develop executive relationships with partner organizations alongside PDMs and AWS Partner SAs Provide architectural guidance to promote successful engagements with software partners worldwide Help define and deliver the go-to-market strategy for the ISV segment Qualifications
Basic Qualifications 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure 4+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries Preferred Qualifications Experience in software development or Internet-related industries Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud Experience with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective Experience with GenAI technologies in cybersecurity contexts, including securing GenAI/Agentic workloads Position is open to candidates in Boston, MA; Denver, CO; Jersey City, NJ; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; and Arlington, VA.
