Introduction / Role Overview We are seeking a motivated
Accountant
to join our finance team. This role will focus on general accounting functions with some payroll responsibilities and offers excellent opportunities for professional growth. While this position will begin at a junior level, it is designed to evolve into a higher-level accounting or finance role within the next one to two years. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department. You’ll work closely with the CFO and other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain proper records, and support continuous process improvements. Job Description: Accountant
Summary: The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll, and assisting with monthly and year-end closing activities. This individual should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules Assist with payroll processing and related entries Maintain accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial data integrity Help identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls Assist with audits by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation Handle special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate) Knowledge of GAAP and strong understanding of accounting fundamentals Experience or exposure to payroll processing Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Skills
Experience in a small to mid-size company or fast-growing organization Familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Career progression
This position is designed for professional advancement. Within 12–24 months, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on more advanced accounting and financial responsibilities, potentially moving into a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager role. Seniority level
