Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Equipment - LNG at Black & Veatch (employee-owned). The role focuses on mentoring, leadership, and technical expertise for custom engineered equipment in Floating LNG, On-Shore LNG Export, LNG Peak shaving, FPSO, or regasification projects. Responsibilities

Select and implement appropriate designs for compressors, pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, vaporizers, tanker loading arms, fired equipment or other packaged equipment Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer equipment suitable for LNG and Floating LNG projects Prepare equipment cost estimating and manhours for FEED and Detailed Design phases Lead and coordinate meetings with internal disciplines, external consultants, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors/fabricators across the globe Conduct meetings and facilitate collaboration between US and India based design teams Prepare equipment data sheets and technical specifications for bid and purchase Perform bid clarifications/meetings with bidders and prepare technical bid evaluations/summaries for equipment Participate in client project meetings and with equipment team on the project Participate in design & model reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability reviews Develop construction sub-contracts for mechanical equipment and modularization efforts Participate in on-site start-up and commissioning work as needed Attend pre-inspection meetings, inspections, and testing on fired equipment in vendor shops Team and Environment

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience Minimum of 11 years related work experience Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects where applicable Certifications

Office environment with potential physically active site tasks; standard travel 10-25% (domestic and international) Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days, based on manager discretion Compensation and Benefits
