Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Night Shift in Modesto, California (zip code 95355). This locum tenens opportunity lets you work in a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, delivering exceptional patient care to adults with critical medical needs.

Contract details: 13 weeks, start date October 28, 2025, end date January 27, 2026. Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (18:45 - 07:15). Hours per week: 36. Location: Modesto, California 95355. Patient ratio: 2:1. Charting system: Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred).

• Orientation: 12 hours plus e-learning modules
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Charting System: Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult ICU patients with complex and critical conditions
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive drips
• Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Assist with procedures including chest tube insertion/removal, EKG/ECG, and phlebotomy
• Implement infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Document patient care in Epic EMR
• Complete orientation and required e-learning modules
• Offer compassionate support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Active California RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• PALS certification (within 180 days of hire)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 180 days of hire
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) within 90 days of hire
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Two professional references from the past year
• Availability for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Background policy disclosure prior to submission
