Initial salary placement is commensurate with required education and related teaching experience and is non-negotiable. The primary responsibility is the teaching of Behavioral Science Statistics and Introduction to Psychological Research. Depending on qualifications and needs, other responsibilities may include teaching General Psychology and/or other courses per expertise area. The assignment will be for 15 class hours per week and may include day, evening and Saturday classes. Additional responsibilities of Mesa College tenured/tenure-track faculty include maintaining regular office hours for student advisement, curriculum review and development, serving on College and District committees, and participating in various departmental and college activities. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s in psychology OR Bachelor’s in psychology AND Master’s in counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience or social work OR The equivalent Desired Qualifications Expertise and training in psychological research, quantitative statistics, and preferably a specialty area Completion of appropriate graduate level coursework in Statistics, Research Methods, and preferably a specialty area Ability to teach effectively with knowledge of teaching techniques and ability to fairly evaluate student performance at college or university level Recent teaching experiences at the college or university level Recent contributions in their discipline related to department/institution goals Effective oral communication and writing ability Continued professional growth and currency in the field of psychology Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with others Experience and/or knowledge in working with diverse student backgrounds Ph.D. in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution is preferred Equivalency If you do not possess the exact degrees listed, please complete a Request for Equivalency Form and attach it during the application process.
