268095Las Vegas, Nevada**The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International****THE JOB:**It is the primary responsibility of the Legal Counsel Labor and Employment to perform professional legal work related to assigned matters for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary organizations, specifically in the areas of employment law and traditional labor law.
The Legal Counsel Labor and Employment, in collaboration with others on the team, will provide legal representation on labor and employment matters, including advice and counsel, administrative charges, litigation and arbitration matters.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Provides labor and employment legal counsel to MGM Resorts International, its subsidiaries, and business units, including Corporate and property HR and Labor Relations teams.* Represents the company in administrative charges, complaints, claims (EEOC, DOL, OSHA), and federal, state, or local court proceedings.* Advises on interpretation, implementation, and administration of labor and employment policies, procedures, standard forms, plans, and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).* Performs legal research, drafts memoranda and legal documents, and provides guidance on compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.* Manages outside counsel, monitors invoices, and coordinates with insurers.
