Under general supervision, assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy habilitative and rehabilitative treatment interventions for clients in various settings (acute-care and long-term hospitals, senior programs, mental health settings, clinical outpatient centers, home health, public schools, and similar institutions). Evaluate client needs and determine appropriate occupational therapy treatment. Document treatment per facility and regulatory guidelines. Reassess client progress and update treatment plans as needed. Maintain regular communication with rehabilitation team members, clients, family members, and other health care or community partners regarding treatment programs and services. May supervise assigned staff, students, interns, and volunteers. Context by department/locations

For all positions: Possession of a valid Occupational Therapy License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT). For CCS: 3 months of pediatric experience* *These qualifications contain Special Conditions that may differ from the standard minimum qualifications associated with this class code. Certifications Basic Life Support for Professional Rescuer (BLS) Certificate issued by the American Heart Association is required as a provision to employment for all positions. If not possessed at the time of hire, the certificate must be obtained within two weeks of hire and maintained throughout employment, with proof provided to the supervisor within the allotted time frame.
