This role ensures company documents are accurately maintained, easily accessible, and compliant with retention requirements. The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, handles sensitive information with care, and works independently once trained.
Key Responsibilities of the File Clerk Role:
Organize, categorize, and maintain financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and statements, in both physical and digital formats. Tag documents for retention or secure destruction following company and regulatory guidelines. Accurately enter financial data into spreadsheets, databases, or accounting systems. Use document management systems (Worldox, SharePoint, or similar) to store, organize, and retrieve records efficiently. Handle sensitive financial information securely and maintain strict confidentiality. Verify records for accuracy and completeness before filing, digitizing, or tagging for destruction. Qualifications of the File Clerk Role:
1-3 years of clerical, administrative, or financial support experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
