Overview Strategy & Design: Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with business goals and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for applications and data migration and modernization on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities
Design and implement Google Cloud strategies aligned with client business goals.
Architect tailored GCP solutions for application migration, modernization, and data modernization while adhering to best practices and business requirements.
Assess client requirements and prepare cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Network, Security) for migrations and modernization on Google Cloud.
Conduct technical presentations and workshops to demonstrate solution feasibility and value to stakeholders.
Lead the design and implementation of Proofs of Concept (POCs) and transition them into larger engagements.
Guide technical solution development for applications modernization, migrations, data modernization, and infrastructure on GCP; monitor and troubleshoot performance; ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance with IT security teams.
Collaborate with sales, delivery, and business teams; provide technical guidance on Google Cloud best practices; stay updated on emerging Google Cloud technologies and trends.
Qualifications
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years in architecture or 10 years in engineering roles related to hybrid cloud solutions for applications migration, modernization, and data modernization, with a proven track record of client engagements.
Minimum 3 years in architecture or 5 years in engineering roles related to GCP solutions for application and data migration, modernization.
Experience designing and implementing strategies to migrate and modernize data infrastructure to the cloud with data security and regulatory compliance.
Data architecture design on the cloud (data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, ingestion).
Data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Google Cloud with experience across AWS, Azure, or other platforms for migrations and modernization.
Experience architecting applications with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud-native architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), hybrid/multi-cloud, networks, security, microservices, FinOps, iPaaS and APIs, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and extensive experience with GCP services (GCE, GKE, Istio, Kubernetes, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC, Firestore, CloudSQL, Spanner, Cloud Monitoring, Anthos, APIGEE, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, Cloud Build, BigQuery, AlloyDB).
Desired/Other Skills:
Knowledge of BFSI industry vertical.
Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud Database Engineer) preferred; must obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
Understanding of DevOps concepts; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
