LHH is partnered with a global AmLaw 100 law firm in their search for a Senior Tax Accountant to join its Washington, DC office. This role is a key member of the firm’s internal tax team, supporting complex tax matters including PTET (Pass-Through Entity Tax) advising, and partnership taxation. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external tax service providers to ensure compliance and deliver strategic tax insights in a dynamic professional services environment. Responsibilities

Support PTET compliance and advising efforts across multiple jurisdictions in coordination with internal and external tax teams. Assist with Partner Tax matters, including estimated payments, K-1s, and individual tax planning. Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and reporting. Contribute to quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including deferred tax calculations and reconciliations. Analyze partnership agreements and structures to assess tax implications and ensure proper reporting. Monitor federal, state, and international tax developments affecting partnerships and PTET regimes. Provide technical tax support to firm leadership and finance teams. Participate in special projects related to tax process improvements, compliance, and technology initiatives. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred. CPA designation highly preferred. 3–6+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally in public accounting or a professional services firm. Strong understanding of partnership taxation is required. Experience with PTET regimes and multi-state tax compliance is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel; experience with partnership tax systems is a plus.
