Overview

Research Leads- The Australian Research Centre for Cancer Survivorship (ARCCS) at UNSW Sydney. Four senior academic positions (Level D/E) within the ARCCS, based in Kensington, New South Wales, Australia. UNSW Sydney, in partnership with Cancer Council NSW, established ARCCS to advance health and prosperity for all cancer survivors through innovative and impactful research. The Centre aims to co-design, evaluate and implement evidence-based interventions to improve care, wellbeing and survivorship outcomes, guiding practice, services and policy across NSW and serving as a model nationally and internationally. Academic Level D or Level E (AUD $185K – $237K) based on experience + 17% super + annual leave loading Responsibilities

Lead and shape the Centre’s research strategy across four themes: Person-Centred Care in Cancer Survivorship; Behaviour and Health; Survivorship Epidemiology; and Precision Survivorship. Build national and international partnerships, secure competitive funding, and mentor the next generation of researchers. Drive high-quality research projects, supervise honours and postgraduate research, and collaborates across disciplines, faculties, institutions, industry and professional bodies. Promote equality, diversity and inclusion and lead engagement with industry and community stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience

A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience. Extensive leadership experience in the relevant professional field. Proven ability to stay up to date with discipline knowledge and developments. Strong leadership of research projects and teams; substantial supervision of honours and postgraduate research. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to influence across disciplines and sectors. Ability to mentor others and foster an inclusive environment; commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. Experience in developing relationships and engagement with industry and community, including attracting industry funding. Understanding of UNSW aims, objectives and policies and capacity to lead safety management practices. Benefits and Culture
