ARCCS is a strategic 10-year partnership between Cancer Council NSW and UNSW Sydney established to advance health and prosperity for cancer survivors through innovative and impactful research. The Centre will co-design, evaluate and implement evidence-based interventions to improve care, wellbeing and survivorship outcomes across NSW and beyond. Role and responsibilities: Lead research initiatives aligned with four centre themes: (1) Person-Centred Care in Cancer Survivorship, (2) Behaviour and Health, (3) Survivorship Epidemiology, and (4) Precision Survivorship. Shape the Centre’s research strategy and build national and international partnerships. Secure competitive funding and mentor the next generation of researchers. Conduct high-quality supervision of honours and postgraduate research projects. Demonstrate leadership in collaboration across disciplines, institutions, industry, and professional bodies and contribute to UNSW’s equity, diversity and inclusion objectives. Qualifications and experience: PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience. Extensive leadership experience in the relevant professional field. Proven ability to stay up to date with discipline knowledge and developments. Track record of leading research projects and teams; supervision of honours and postgraduate students. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across faculties and with industry and community partners. Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and to UNSW’s values and policies. Experience in developing relationships and attracting industry funding. Understanding of UNSW aims, objectives and policies, including safety management systems.
