Research Leads - The Australian Research Centre for Cancer Survivorship at UNSW. This role is based in Australia and is a full-time position. Positions Available: 4 X Research Leads. Duration: Up until 30 June 2029. Remuneration: Academic Level D or Level E ($185K–$237K) based on experience + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading. Location: Kensington, New South Wales. The Australian Research Centre for Cancer Survivorship (ARCCS) was established through a 10-year partnership between Cancer Council NSW and UNSW Sydney to advance health and prosperity for all cancer survivors through innovative research. Role and Responsibilities
The Research Leads will report to Professor Bogda Koczwara AM and shape the Centre’s research strategy across four themes: 1) Person-Centred Care in Cancer Survivorship, 2) Behaviour and Health, 3) Survivorship Epidemiology, 4) Precision Survivorship. Lead research programs, build national and international partnerships, secure competitive funding, and mentor early- to mid-career researchers. Coordinate high-quality supervision of honours and postgraduate research projects and lead multidisciplinary teams across faculties, industry and professional bodies. Help implement evidence-based interventions to improve care, wellbeing and survivorship outcomes, and contribute to practice, services and policy development in NSW and beyond. Skills and Qualifications
PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience. Extensive leadership experience in the field. Commitment to keeping up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments. Demonstrated ability to lead research projects and teams, supervise honours and postgraduate research, and influence across disciplines. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with capacity to engage industry, community and accreditation bodies. Inspirational mentoring and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion programs. Ability to attract industry funding and engage with industry and the community. Understanding of and alignment with UNSW’s aims, policies and values. Ability to lead implementation and effectiveness of safety management systems. Benefits and Culture
