The Harry S. Truman VA Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, board-certified/board-eligible Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Waynesville Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). This is an outpatient-only position with a Monday-Friday schedule, offering true work/life balance in a mission-driven setting. Work location and schedule : Waynesville CBOC; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Responsibilities (typical daily/weekly duties may include, regardless of specialty): Examining and talking to patients to diagnose medical conditions Carrying out procedures as appropriately credentialed Making notes for legal medical records and for other health care professionals Collaborating with other doctors as part of a team within the department or across specialties Liaising with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality care Promoting health education Undertaking managerial responsibilities such as planning workload and staffing, especially at more senior levels Managing a patient panel in conjunction with the patient-aligned care team (PACT) Working with a PACT team (physician, RN, LPN, and clerk) to support veteran care Seeing an average of 8-14 patients per day during scheduled appointments (M-F 8:00 am – 4:00 pm) No after-hours or weekend call required; moonlighting outside normal hours is allowed Requirements

Must meet VA eligibility requirements and possess the following: U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may be appointed only when permissible by VA policy Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory Residency training in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility/certification Proficiency in spoken and written English Participation in online onboarding and pre-employment requirements as applicable Pre-employment physical examination and eligibility for background/security investigations Preferred Experience:

Board eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine; certification preferred. Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an appropriately accredited institution. Foreign graduates must meet ECFMG requirements as applicable. Benefits and Additional Information
