The Harry S. Truman VA Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, board-certified/board-eligible Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Waynesville Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). This is an outpatient-only position with a Monday-Friday schedule, offering true work/life balance in a mission-driven setting. Waynesville offers a rural setting with a vibrant downtown. Specific tasks depend on the specialty; commonly include: Examining and talking to patients to diagnose medical conditions Carrying out procedures as appropriately credentialed Documentation for legal records and for other health care professionals Collaborating with other doctors and staff to ensure quality treatment Promoting health education Managing workload and staffing within the department Managing a panel of approximately 1100 patients within a patient-aligned care team (PACT) PACT teams include physician, RN, LPN, and clerk; care is team-based Physicians see an average of 8-14 patients per day; no after-hours or weekend call required; moonlighting allowed Requirements
