Overview

Delivery Driver opportunities with Parts Authority, a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment and transmissions. Parts Authority is headquartered in Long Island, New York, founded in 1973 and rapidly expanding with more than 300 locations across the United States.

We are seeking full-time Delivery Drivers to join our growing division. Our drivers interact with clients daily and are the company’s representatives. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, accurate charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and time schedules, use navigation apps, and know the area to deliver on time.
• Assist with loading/unloading items from vehicles as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service, address questions, and handle complaints professionally.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), and reconcile money collected related to deliveries.
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance checks and notify management of any issues.
• Assist with other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety and security of assets.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 or over)
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds (75 pounds for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers), with occasional prolonged sitting

• Ability to manage and reconcile money transactions and customer balances
• Ability to use a tablet/mobile device for navigation, tracking, and signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take directions and work well in a team
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed (preferred)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
