Overview

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Sports Nutrition Operations Assistant for Athletics Physician. The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the Big Ten Conference. Rutgers has a long history in college athletics, including notable early football games.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the oversight of item stock levels for nutrition fueling stations, weight room, players lounge, and 3rd floor, as well as product ordering.
• Makes Vitamin Bags including Vit D, Vit C, Fish Oil, Multivitamins, sick bags and concussion bags.
• Manages Smoothie Station — daily preparation and delivery of customized post-workout/training table smoothies for athletes.
• Maintains facility upkeep and appearance through monitoring of all nutrition department related activities and fueling areas.
• Assists in Office/Clerical work.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience: High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Certifications/Licenses: A valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle or other dependable means of transportation.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment: Lift/move products up to 50lbs.
• Special Conditions: Clean Driving Record.
