Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant $15,000 Sign On Bonus
Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care or emergency room experience to join our team in the surrounding region. This is a full-time opportunity with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for external candidates.

Job Summary Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside a physician, it is essential to have excellent assessment skills to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.
Job Requirements Education
Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
Work Experience
2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting
Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
National Certification
Active state medical licensure
Additional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
Applicable office procedures including suturing, splinting, etc.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Preferred
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
Strong listening, communication and customer service skills
Essential Functions
Examining and treating patients
Taking patients’ medical histories
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
Educating and counseling patients
Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hour shift as assigned
All other duties as assigned
