Overview
The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an obstetrician-gynecologist for a full-time clinical faculty position in the diagnosis and treatment of normal obstetrics and gynecology as well as disorders related to the female reproductive system. The position is a full-time 1.0 FTE faculty member of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with patient care and service needs at UW Health Clinics and inpatient work primarily at UnityPoint Health–Meriter.
Responsibilities
Inpatient and outpatient case management
Major and minor gynecological surgery
Triage, labor and delivery management
Provide support to, and work collaboratively with, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Certified Nurse Midwifery groups
Provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and other learners
Complete Ob/Gyn consults, including those from the Emergency Department
Work collaboratively with other departments, UW Health and Meriter–UnityPoint colleagues
Develop and provide oversight of postpartum care plans
Collaborate with division leadership and department administration to improve nocturnist/laborist operations and patient satisfaction
Adhere to professional conduct guidelines in learning environments and clinical settings
Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health; maintain collegial relationships with faculty members
Titles and Rank Applicants will be considered for the following titles: Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS), Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor. The title is determined by the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Preferred Qualifications:
For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria as outlined by the department and the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to these ranks. For appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on the CT Track, candidates will meet corresponding criteria.
