HDR invites qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs. HDR is employee-owned and highly ranked in the United States by ENR for Dams and Reservoirs and for Hydropower. The program is focused on improving resiliency, sustainability, and safety of communities as dams, levees and flood control systems are upgraded and rebuilt to adapt to a changing climate, provide more efficient renewable power, and meet growing water needs. HDR engineers are leading the way to solve our toughest water infrastructure problems. We are seeking civil, structural, geotechnical and hydraulic engineers to serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders on complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects. Expertise in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) is a growing need. Responsibilities

Provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs. Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders on complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects. Support PFMA-related analyses and related risk assessment activities. Qualifications

Civil, structural, geotechnical or hydraulic engineers with experience on dam, levee and flood resilience projects. Experience as engineers of record and/or in leadership roles on complex water infrastructure projects. Familiarity with PFMA and related analyses; understanding of dam safety and levee safety concepts is beneficial. Knowledge of relevant software and analysis tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, Seep/W, APILE, LPILE, SHAKE, FEMA, FLAC, LSDYNA). Willingness to relocate or consider opportunities across HDR’s 200+ locations and flexible work arrangements. Locations
