Configuration Engineer - Software (H/F) – SAFRAN POWER USA, LLC Join to apply for the Configuration Engineer - Software (H/F) role at AEROCONTACT. Safran is a multinational high-tech group operating in aerospace, space and defense. Responsibilities

Manage and maintain configuration baselines for software and supporting documents across multiple DoD development programs. Execute software and document configuration management activities in accordance with MIL-STD-973, EIA-649, and program-specific CM plans (PCMP). Administer configuration control boards (CCBs), track change requests (CRs), and ensure timely implementation of approved changes. Support software builds and releases, ensuring version integrity and traceability of all software deliverables. Collaborate with engineering, program management, QA, subcontractors and other stakeholders to enforce configuration control policies and best practices. Create and maintain configuration documentation, including status accounting, release notes, audit checklists, CM plans, procedures, and training materials. Perform audits to verify configuration of released products matches requirements and documentation. Utilize PLM, ALM, and ERP systems to manage configuration information; support PTC RV&S and PTC Windchill implementations. Ensure ITAR, Export Control compliance and proper handling of CUI in all configuration activities. Travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%) as required. Adhere to safe work practices and contribute to health, safety and environmental programs. Maintain regular, predictable attendance. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of relevant experience in software configuration management, software engineering, or related aerospace roles. Advanced knowledge of document and software configuration control; experience with PLM, ALM, and ERP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic knowledge of MIL-STD-973, EIA-649 and DoD CM standards; basic ITAR and CUI handling knowledge. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Expert knowledge of RV&S and Windchill; familiarity with software development tools and languages (e.g., Code Composer Studio, Code Collaborator, VectorCAST, LabVIEW, Python); knowledge of requirements and verification management and technical drafting.
