Overview
Senior Accountant role at Wheeler Staffing Partners. Manage the full accounting cycle for two entities: a foreign utility company and a U.S.-based technology company. This position requires a self-starter with strong QuickBooks skills and the ability to work independently while delivering accurate financial records and reports. Schedule: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday, Remote Monday & Friday. Start Date: ASAP. Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr (based on experience). Key Responsibilities
Financial Setup & Management: Establish and maintain accounting systems and books for a foreign utility company; Set up and manage financial books for a U.S.-based technology company. Accounts Payable: Process and manage all vendor payments for both entities; Ensure timely and accurate disbursements. Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing for employees in both companies; Ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements; Present financial reports to company principals; Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. External Collaboration: Coordinate with external audit and tax teams by providing necessary documentation. General Accounting: Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closings; Maintain accurate and organized financial records; Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards. Qualifications
Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of accounting experience. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, reporting, analysis). Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP; IFRS for international operations). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience working with international entities or utilities. Background in the energy sector. Exposure to both U.S. and international accounting practices. Employment Details
