A successful healthcare company/medical practice in New Haven, CT, is seeking a strategic and experienced finance and accounting leader to oversee all financial operations, reporting, planning, and compliance for a healthcare organization. This role ensures accuracy in GAAP policies, financial reporting, effective budget management, and long-term financial planning aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; oversee all month-end close activities and account reconciliations. Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to support growth and operational goals. Develop pro-forma models for new business ventures. Manage and monitor operating budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L, variance analyses, and weekly cash flow updates. Review financial results and recommend cost-saving and performance-enhancing strategies. Oversee payroll processing, including compliance with all tax and year-end reporting requirements. Supervise financial planning and analysis team; manage reporting tools, systems implementation, and budgeting processes. Ensure proper functioning of financial systems, internal controls, and compliance with financial regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals for timely and accurate filings. Manage and develop finance staff, ensuring high performance and team effectiveness. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. CPA strongly preferred. Minimum 10 years of financial leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or multi-specialty medical environments. This is a full-time position that is offering $160K base plus strong benefits and the autonomy to run, manage and develop your own department within the firm.
