$140,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Our client is an institutional digital asset trading platform seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. In this hands-on leadership role, you will play a key part in month-end close, revenue recognition (including SaaS or payment platform revenue), technical accounting matters, and audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, experience in fast-paced, evolving environments, and a deep knowledge of accounting practices in the FinTech space. This position is based in Manhattan, NY. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and expense accruals. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Support complex revenue recognition and transaction accounting (e.g., payment processing, embedded finance, digital wallets). Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering to ensure proper accounting treatment of new financial products and services. Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services required. Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 and ASC 842. Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel/Google Sheets.
